personalities, including
two young members of
Parliament. Nationalist
Party member Frederick
Azzopardi joined me for
a small dinner which I
gave at Ta��� Cenc Hotel,
primarily for Gozotan
members of the Order
the night before my
departure. An affable
Joseph Muscat, the
opposition
Labor
Party leader, invited
me to meet with him
and Joe Grima at his
office at Labor Party
headquarters for what
proved to be a thoughtprovoking discussion.

In past years I met

Agatha
Barbara, Paul Xuereb
and Vincent Tabone
at San Anton, the
Presidential
Palace,
or at the Magisterial
Palace, Valletta. I met
