A man of imposing physical size, Joe exudes a commanding presence. He prepares weekly, live television shows in season on timely issues. We enjoyed talking about the project as only old friends can who have the benefit of the long view. It was a pleasure to have his daughter, Chase, with us on these occasions. Months before my July reunion with Joe, on February 20, 2011, Joe, having just read Malta Knights, sent me an email in which he wrote, What a magnificent article. Congratulations on the perfect manner in which you describe our relationship that led to the Knights project and your superb recollection of the people involved in the operation, now twenty-five years ago. We both regretted, as did Mifsud Bonnici, that more had not been done with the project. It would have been interesting to meet with Fenech Adami during the July visit but, regrettably, it did not happen. However, it is good to see work has begun on restoring the lower parts of Fort San Angelo. Neptune HYLAND
