The original 52 foot cinema was long gone, but Drysdale
remade a remarkable cinema, in the dimensions of the
original. 13 bedrooms were condensed to 7, a ten car
subterranean garage was added below the forecourt.
Drysdale designed and supervised the fabrication of
all the interior detailing to the smallest detail. Achieving
the feeling of limestone floors which had been in place
for 90 years was going to be a problem. In the new
Marwood, she defined the size and finish of every
surface, finding craftsmen in France to create the sizes
