As if in genteel reproach to the exciting detritus
of this 'sixties icon sits a demure 19th century
Italian settee, its back and arms unnecessarily
but beautifully high, rather like Judd's own
daybed described above. As usual, Judd has
the last word in juxtaposing like with unlike,
latter-day car crash with Risorgimento. I
cannot say what they have in common, but
Judd was right to create their cohabitation. H
