Let us name a few of our own favorite things chez
Maloney. He is very much at home employing the finest
Italian, English and French classic design schemes,
which involve a profusion, often eclectic, of precious
objects and art work. Certain of his and Mallea���s own
rooms positively sing and are memorable for atmosphere
as much as individual contents. First, their own glass
enclosed porch in an upstate New York house, with
its 15-foot ceiling, 1950s Moroccan rug and graceful,
low-slung finely woven wicker chairs from Kerala, India:
simple things in a relaxed room. Another upstate oasis
is the couple���s bedroom with its fascinating collection of
