T
his son of New England gravitates to anything on a
menu with the word lobster.
David Burkes Townhouse on East 60th Street, New York
City, serves the best fancy lobster around. My favorites are
lobster dumpling with the greenest peas, lobster steak with
a claw or two thrown in on the side over polenta with string
fries and a touch of salsa and other lobster dishes which
are intermittently added to an outstanding menu in every
category of dining. Burke clearly believes in the juncture
of the delicious and food as architectural presentation,
successful in his hands, often a disaster in others.
