The grand entry hall exhibits what might be considered the
themes of the house.�� A double height wall is punctuated
with heavy neoclassical moldings, all cast in white. Yet
the furniture is that twentieth century descendant of
Biedermeier, Art Deco. The same holds for the Maurice
Rinck inspired console and sconces attributed to
Ruhlmann.
An assertively modernist dining table and chairs by
Moura Starr is ensconced in a breakfast room straight
out of the Aesthetic Movement, white painted ceilings
(14���), and flanked by a staircase with white spindle
banisters. This is something of an indoor/outdoor room,
