The London Hotel, West Hollywood, Los Angeles, is heir
to the Carlyle���s aesthetic, one that in this sympathetic
update meshes Georgian sensibility with mid century
modern and beyond. The design scheme seems one
part a mellow take on Lutyens, a more assertive Venturi
and a less exuberant Lapidus, all the while an inspired
original design concept by Irishman David Collins of the
David Collins Design Studio.
The fine lined, inlaid marble hall floor circles are far less
muscular than the corresponding Lutyens offering and
they are particularly dainty compared to their Renaissance
