R
ockland, in Greenwich, Connecticut is an early
twentieth century country mansion for which the architectdecorator Inson Dubois Wood has created provocative
new interior schemes. Throughout the house, Wood
has exerted his predilection for the grand, soign side
of Art Deco; French furniture of the 1920s, 30s and 40s
plays a great part in Woods decoration of Rockland.
The result is a happy amalgam of fin de siecle space and
architectural detail with mid-century modernism, made
more pungent still by the owners collection of late 20th
century and 21st century art.
