The centerpiece of this loft is the living room, which is
dominated by two long boxy sofas designed by Carol
Egan and covered in a boldly scaled printed fabric in
white, brown and green called Arabesques, designed by
Paule Leleu in 1968 for Prelle Fabrics. Arabesques is an
emphatic statementa love it or hate it grid that is hard
to get around. But get around it Egan does with leavening
touches of yellow in the room: a bright yellow and white
minimalist painting by Scottish painter Callum Innes; two
pollen colored Pavlistana armchairs designed by Jorge
Zalszupin, c.1960, in Brazil, purchased from Espasso.
