business environments. It is also, solidly,
a financial services center of repute and
ever-increasing importance.
Malta, which joined the EU in 2004, is winning high tech
work due to corporate disillusionment with the trend towards
outsourcing projects to Asia, said a BBC report in 2007. Since
then, a steady shift on the part of numerous firms towards
Malta has become a growing economic reality, especially among
a cadre of European firms who seek greater control over their
work in tandem with financial regulations considered among
the best in Europe.
