pin down? No email, no address, no telephone number.
This man was quite mysterious and ellusive. No trace
of Mr. Hadley. It took about two weeks of investigation,
but I was finally tipped off by a friendly colleague who
delivered to me an East 85th Street address.
That is when our story begins. I decided to do something
unheard of in our digital age. I picked out a piece of
stationary and a quill tip pen and I wrote a letter.
I wrote to Mr. Hadley, revealing that he had been selected
to receive the award, on behalf of Charles Cohen, the
Decoration and Design Building and the greater New
York design community, and that more than anything,
