The dynamic Maestro Joeseph Vella.
Earlier in the day, I had lunch at the Palace with one
of Malta���s living cultural treasures, Maestro Joseph
Vella. Before our meal we had a brief meeting with the
President. We told him about the full Mass which I have
commissioned the Maestro to compose. We agreed
that, among other things, it would be appropriate also
to celebrate the Maltese Presidency. Over lunch I told
Maestro Vella that the Maestro of the Pontifical Choir of
the Sistine Chapel wished to compose a hymn for the
Mass. He readily voiced his accord.
