current tendency for diminishing ���the clutter and crowded
objects in the room.���
He achieves a monochromatic and minimal interior with
great aplomb. I am particularly intrigued by this thoughtful
designer���s placement in the living room of an ���L��� shaped
couch against the window wall, nearly projecting sitters
into the city. The couch���s placement also encourages
one to study the interior of the apartment, in particular
the drawing room, where, but for one wall all is mirror
or glass. The Gao Brothers��� artwork, ���High Place ���
Sponge,��� is evocative. In the same room, the 1940���s
Murano torchieres imitate the skyscrapers outside.
