sit quietly on the side of the road���watching, looking,
listening for the next ���it.��� Then a Lady Gaga appears:
one day nothing���then Gaga. When asked, twenty-sixyear old Gaga patiently and a bit exasperatedly explains
that she is not an overnight sensation; she has been
working at her craft since she was fourteen years old.
And there���s the clue. Gaga knew who she was when she
was barely a teenager���all she had to do was show us.
And so it was with designer Fabiola Arias. Arias too
always knew who she was. She was born in Havana,
