Gonzales��� sequined ���paintings��� are multicolored, each
sequin applied laboriously by hand, depicting various
subjects from dollar signs to skulls and abstract faces.
His work is generally large and capable of holding the
most impressive wall. He spends much time in Berlin���
where he is an integral part of the art community���and
in New York city where he and Galtarossa work from
a loft in Chelsea, the center of American art. A recent
commission involved embellishing a giant construction
crane in Milan, which served as talisman���and mecca���
for that contemporary art scene.
