Throughout the villa antiques cohabitate with some of the
most amazing and texturally complex art of this century.
The photograph of Anna Galtarossa seated beneath a
looming, out-scaled head sculpture of a man represents
the continuity of Italy and of the Veneto area as a center
of art and design. Anna, with her 21st century gaze at
the photographer, is of the same piece as the figure gazing above her head.
She and Daniel Gonzales have transformed the interior
of the c. 1682 villa into an intriguing studio where this
team produces iconic, internationally acclaimed contemporary art. With installations on a Mexico City lake,
