first from my most recent visit, the place always remains a highlight of my visits to the region. Madame Brambilla, a family
neighbor who married a Milanese, visited Vigilio in 1905 and
cherished the same emotions for a lifetime.
The hotel���s rooms are picturesque, comfortable and antiquefilled, often with exposed wooden beams. Some have private
gardens, and many have lake views. The adjacent Baia delle
Sirene (Mermaid���s Bay Park) offers sunbeds, a supervised children���s play area, volleyball, and, best of all, an ice cream parlor.
Swimming in the bay and sunning and lounging under the
olive trees makes for a perfectly restful day.
