BROOKS BROTHERS DOES TRAVEL
By Christopher Hyland
E
ach time I departed for summer camp, school or
a major trip, invariably my parents brought me to Brooks
Brothers in Boston. The required clothing in hand, the
trunks or suitcases packed, my Brooks outer skin saw
every bit of the world that I did. Whether on the playing
fields, hiking, studying, sightseeing or eventually working, Brooks provided the staples, as they have for countless generations since 1818.
But it was shopping at Brooks for travel that was most
memorable. To this day I have a picture of myself, c.
1963, aged sixteen in St. Marks Square, Venice, among
the pigeons in my Brooks suit, tie, shirt, shoes, socks and
skivvies. The same holds for Moscow, Prague, Rome
and numerous other places.
It is a great pleasure to present the readers of HYLAND
with the discerning travel program Brooks Brothers offers and invites you to experience:
St. Andrews Links Golf, Scotland
including three rounds of golf on the Old, New and Castle courses, and golf at the National Trust of Scotlands
