one sees the anguish, concern and despair
of the world, including his native revolutionary
Ireland, in all of its radical change. Clark was
witness to that change. Through his windows
he brought profound religious stories to the
dawn of a century that would alter the human
state more deeply and rapidly than any preceding century in recorded history.
It is impossible, after viewing his work, to deny
that Harry Clarke deserves greater aesthetic
recognition for his glorious achievements. H
