The lower level is private, extending to landscape and
sea, with an infinity pool in the garden stretching out
towards the water. The private side of the house, at entry level, is concealed from visitors by a bamboo wall.
AGi���and their clients���are preoccupied with privacy. In
the ���Secret��� house, on an urban street, electronic mist
machines on a timer periodically release surges of vapor
that both cool and mask the house from the street.
The interior spaces of ���The Star��� are all angles���sharp,
startling and photogenic��� yet they are orchestrated with
an ultimate regard for comfortable human habitation and
kinship. One thinks, again, of the Villa Savoye, and of Le
Corbusier���s mission of bringing a feeling of sacredness
into the act of dwelling.
