HYLAND A thoroughly traveled man, Tihany's work has brought him all over the world, from the renovation of the King David Hotel in Jerusalem to the Westin Chosun in South Korea. Though not a man to pick favorites among travel destinations, in his four years working on the One & Only hotel in Cape Town, South Africa, Tihany admits to having fallen in love with the city. His wife Marnie, also not one to play favorites, describes the hotel as "spectacular." When designing One & Only, Tihany wanted the space to embody the authentic quality of Cape Town.
