spring/summer line was inspired by a trip to Venice for a wedding. Ratelband's journey created a story in her mind about a beautiful woman who travels to Italy to dance at a masked ball then ride a Vespa down the Amalfi Coast. For Fall/Winter her inspirations was more noir, inspired by films like Sunset Boulevard and Metropolis and the style of the iconic film star Veronica Lake. Twenty-Four year old Ratelband graduated from the Institute Europeo di Design in Milan in 2011. She interned with Zac Posen before launching her own line.
