Twice a year, New York City morphs into a universe filled
with designers, buyers, models, photographers and writers.
Six foot tall models stride the street in skinny jeans and black
leather jackets with E cigarettes hanging from their lips to
enhance their vibe of, "I'm from Italy (not Oklahoma) and I
know it." Even the subways are filled with women who are
dressed up not down. The tents are up and the party is on.
The great fashion houses of Seventh Avenue bring it on with
sparkles. But also invited to the party are the best and brightest
designers from faraway places like Korea and Bahrain. And
as always, the big question is: just who among the many up-
and-coming fashion designers will be the next big thing?
