HYLAND
by Grosfield House Moderne, is a Constructivist-inspired
sculpture by Israeli artist Manashe Kadishman, a student of
British sculptor Sir Anthony Caro. On the wall opposite the
Boggio painting is perhaps the most important art work in
the apartment, a painting by Vlaminck of barges on a river.
The dining room is a decorative tour de force, possessing
a clever counterpoint of artworks. Bradfield, again, has
employed a pallid backdrop of immaculate white recessed
paneling, space-expanding mirrors and shelves that hold
books he had bound in white vellum to match. The severity
of this scheme is leavened by colorful works of art, a winter
