Schmidt (1889-1977) was an American architect noted especially for the townhouses he built at Sutton Place, but he was also the architect, between 1923 and 1970, of over fifty country houses, mostly in the New York area. One such wonderful abode, located at Sleepy Hollow Road in Mount Pleasant, Westchester County, is now for sale, a splendid opportunity to own a twentieth century American classic, one which might be called "streamlined Georgian."
