I
t takes a certain kind of personality to live with bright
orange walls: extrovert, not at home much. This is only
to say that the instant interior, by designers Diamond
Baratta, is intense, a fun-house of color spiritually at home
in Miami, a place for entertainers rather than bookworms,
although the owners' bedside table reveals a good deal
of serious reading. If my own taste runs to the moody,
this small, lively apartment is a built antidepressant, an
exemplum of the interior as, above all, work of art rather
than living space, a kinetic tour de force made for high
jinks.
