As in all Diamond Baratta works, this one supports
exuberance with the backbone of careful curating of
furniture and fabrics, in this case ones inspired by the
psychedelia of the late 1960s. The custom tangerine
sofa, with its jaunty white welting, vies with a yellow
cast plastic desk, its form all molten curves. On the
orange wall above the sofa are a giddying series of thirty
framed Op-Art prints; Diamond Baratta are fans of the
optical and/or hard edged in art; I recall one celestial
blue interior in which a huge Frank Stella painting is
the presiding presence.
