the teapots, the white wicker settees are reminders of
the fragility and resilience of human life, a hurricane's
eye which we are privileged to witness today, through
the good offices of the Brooklands Museum Trust,
established in 1987.
The Trust, since that date, has been recording,
researching preserving and interpreting all aspects
of the site's heritage. The Brooklands motor course
celebrated its centenary in 2007, with special events
organized by the Museum, including a Formula One
car demonstration by McLaren-Mercedes (MercedesBenz has a museum at Brooklands which HYLAND
