are gearing up for their annual
Asian sales. Collectors,
dealers and art advisors from
Europe, Russia, and Mainland
China and throughout Asia will
descend on the city.

sought.

Over at Christie's, certain to
find attention is an archaic
bronze ritual wine vessel dating
from the 11th century. Michael
Bass, their head of Chinese art
says, "It's highly important and
certain to exceed $2 million."
Also rare is a large Famille
Rose, turquoise bottle vase.
Emblazoned with a fierce red
dragon, this example, which
dates from 1736-1795, is
expected to fetch north of
$600,000.
