remarkably subtle aura. This is indeed Colette's apartment.
The writer is present through photographs, a portrait
bust, objects here and there that are so characteristic of
her taste. But although the atmosphere has been carefully
and respectfully preserved, the palette of colors—black,
gold, rust, gray, beige, white—and above all the light are
by contrast the signature of Jacques Grange's style."
It is heartening to see that Grange never "redecorates";
instead he layers, he accrues incrementally, hanging
HYLAND
