harmonized in a single building, is remarkable. Imber
is able to achieve this because his process is about
building, beginning with the watercolor and culminating
in the superlative handwork of the master builders and
craftsmen he directs. One can only imagine the deeply
spiritual sense of satisfaction he and they experience as
each design component of these projects is realized. It
gives credence to Le Corbusier's dictum, "God is in the
details". For the same reason that Le Corbusier much
admired Lutyens, it is reasonable to assume he would
hold Imber's work in high regard.
