acaron by Patisse, in the exclusive River Oaks
vicinity of Houston Texas, is the sparkling new setting for
an old Parisian favorite: delicate multicolored macaroon
cookie sandwiches, produced fresh-baked by the
hundreds every day and served in this bright, streamlined
tea shop.
The interior of Macaron, designed by Houston decorating
firm Contour Interior Design, is brightest white, with a
polished floor of zigzagging grey and white tile. Guests
may bask in the mellow light of the monumental golden
chandelier, custom designed by Contour. There is a
charming café bar, with tall, caned seats, where one may
enjoy a café au lait or hot chocolate along with assorted
macaroon sandwiches, or other specialties of the house,
including cupcakes.
