In February of 2013,
Cennamo presented his
collection titled "21 Shades
of Gold" as part of Mercedes
Benz Fashion Week at New
York's Lincoln Center. The
designer states that his Fall/
Winter 2013 Collection was
inspired by the Versailles Hall
of Mirrors and his choice to
present (the models stand on
a raised stage while viewers
wander about) rather than
host a runway show was
brilliant. Cennamo's collection
is golden, glitzy and over-thetop sexy and best viewed as
a whole with time to observe
the intricacy of the designs.
Even though the garments
were created from a palette
of gold, they are not static;
they flow with the body. The
designs are showy, theatrical
pieces that give the lie to the
adage that less is always
more.
