legs and stretcher, and
scalloped tassel fringe make
this bench the diametric
opposite of Frank's Tuxedo
Bench. I think, not so
much of William and Mary,
as of Lucy and Desi in the
country.
An ottoman may alternate as footstool
or coffee table, repository for books and
bric-a-brac. It is either a tiny lapdog or a
beast of burden.
Billy Baldwin X Bench
An an elegant addition to any room, with a
button-tufted, boxy, detachable cushion.
It is a footstool or seat for a child. Patty
McCormack in The Bad Seed should have
spent more time restricted to it! H
