the art in question is explicitly Christian. As is so often
the case, the larger message is there, audible, resonant,
a moral point compatible and at home.
A recent exhibition, "Cloud Factory," by artists Anna
Galtarossa and Daniel Gonzalez in Verona is a case in
point. Upon first examination, it might seem off the mark,
but look more closely. It behooves us to understand
that there is a connection between this work and the
remarkable ethos of the Vatican Museums.
The "Cloud Factory" exhibition, which includes a fantasy
factory space and yard, all set within the stark white
walls of an art gallery, is the locus for their installation
of highly colorful abstract figures suspended from the
ceiling and reimagined products, fanciful items that
might be considered distant descendents, in new
media, of the early Pop Art productions of Andy Warhol
