Armstrong into the permanent collections of the Vatican
Museums, an historic moment for photography and the
Church. Pope Francis is in a position to further celebrate
contemporary art, to deepen its role and to embrace
the voices and visions of ongoing generations of artists,
both Christian and others, who manifest grace through
art. Although the triptych is in the Vatican Museums, it
is yet to have been exhibited. There are plans afoot that
might give His Holiness ample opportunity.
It was a pleasure meeting with Dr. Micol Forti, Curator
of Contemporary Art at the Vatican Museums. I had
