elebrating its 59th edition, the Winter Antiques Show
opened at the Park Avenue Armory and runs until February
3. While in years past its primary focus was Americana, the
fair continues to offer a greater breadth of categories and far
more recent material. So along side Connecticut highboys,
19th century portrait miniatures and Georgian candelabra
are far later offerings like 20th century photography, design
and Japanese ceramics.

Of the 73 dealers, twentieth century furniture can be
found with the Tribeca based Hostler Burrows along with
Lost City Arts and Moderne Gallery.�� At Maison Gerard,
Gerard Widdershoven , who was instrumental in forming
the Art Deco collection at the Chrysler Museum in Virginia,
dedicates his stand primarily to the cabinetry of Jules Leleu.
