willing to let perfection stand. Howie���s HomeStay is a
house and garden for the imagination, a lush reenactment
of the best of Thai architecture in a landscape variegated,
poetic and serene. There is an abundance in this project
of color, in flora and fabric. Be it a bank of purple flowers
or a swathe or orange silk, Bensley���s colors shimmer,
they sing.
The HomeStay consists of a large main house and
several adjunct buildings, a loosely woven wonderland
in a dense forest setting punctuated by ponds and
pools, bridges, gazebos and house temples. Bensley
has designed all buildings in absolute harmony���even
conformity���with traditional Thai wooden stilt houses,
