The dining room fast-forwards to the 1950s with remarkable
oval apertures, varying in size, in the ceiling, each casting
light down into the space. (Of the lighting scheme, Wolk
jokes, ���it was inspired by Morris Lapidus, favoring details
of Swiss cheese!���) This lighting creates the atmosphere of
a private supper club around the glossy round table and
its cluster of eight chairs, all designed by Michael Wolk.
One can picture equally an elegant dinner, or, by contrast,
a Rat Pack roast, replete with smoky testimonials.
The master bedroom invokes Las Vegas, with more
recessed lighting in the ceiling and silken swathes of
curtains sheathing the windows all round, creating
