Architect/designer Dori Hitti adroitly understood the
monumental nature of the project, scaling up, daring to
create very large and intimate spaces equally appealing
and in synchronicity with one another. A one-hundred
foot plus drawing room incorporates large furniture-free
areas at either end containing large bronze sculptures,
Reclined Woman and The Horse by Botero, placed
museum-like on high plinths along with a stone sculpture,
La Menina, by Manolo Valdes. The floors in these areas
are free of carpeting, reinforcing the aura of museum or
gallery and acting as transition areas between the living
and dining room on one end and a secondary lounge
area and bedroom wing on the other. They bookend
