Those fortunate enough to have worked with Greg appreciated deeply his immense creative energy and talent. Greg could enter a space and instantly describe, in minute detail, how the interior should take shape, citing famous rooms. With his vast knowledge of architecture, he effortlessly created spaces with balance, grace and harmony. I cannot attribute a specific "look" to Greg's interiors. He appreciated all styles of design, classical or modern, and in his design schemes he often juxtaposed or fused different styles. In addition to being a creative genius, Greg was a loving, kind and sensitive soul. We enjoyed his warm approachable style and gregarious nature. He was witty, amusing and humble, qualities which enabled him to navigate life's ups and downs. His casual, friendly, sometimes silly, always charming personality was disarming and enchanting. Greg once explained to an interviewer how some design detail could "intimize" a room. I was pretty sure "intimize" was not a word, but in the sense that Greg used it, it should have been. Just before his death, Greg was branching out into fresh arenas of interior design. He sourced and designed fabrics, cashmere throws, furniture and carpets.
