L: attendees; R: Michel Jean and James McBride (whose company is aptly named "Tailgates , Millbrook , NY") , tent engineers were Jane Aire and Belle McIntyre. Tents were draped in brightly colored Indian fabric: These Fly Follies are named "Taj Ma Folly " Marigold and Fuchsia. Jolly little burgees fly from the tent peaks. Hay bales – used for both seating and food presentation were covered with 'Hay Jackets" in bright yellow and very bright pink. The bold color statement reminds us that Diana Vreeland was quite right when she decreed that "pink is the navy blue of India." Fresh Poppadums, Samosas and curry- infused fried chicken completed the themed tailgate. Even the ponies seemed interested and wanted to take a quick peek as they galloped by. H HYLAND
