in yellow and white is patterned in connecting squares
that suggest China���or perhaps Brighton; there is a
heady undercurrent of Chinoiserie in this house. Above
the mantelpiece is a most curious painting of eleven
figures seated at a long table gesturing to each other���a
Last Supper manqu��.
The dining room is emphatically Chinese with a crisp
color scheme of bright blue, red and gold, seen in
the whimsical fabric on the walls and in the beautiful
porcelain ancestor figures mounted on blue, red and
