our pieces of furniture from designers MinionGutierrez���s Brighton Pavilion line captured our attention
this month, well made yet fanciful. The centerpiece is
a desk, and what a desk! It is slender as a whippet,
extravagant in detail and material. Its curving legs are
faux-painted in ivory to resemble elephant tusks, garlanded at the top with fringed bronze mounts dipped in
24K gold. The corners of the top are made of precious
Macassar ebony and the top is sheathed in parchment,
with a handy slide out platform for a computer. This is a
desk for a duchess writing memoirs.
