He wouldn���t have been long at NASA. There was something so cold, so steely, so mechanical about NASA. That is one of the reasons it never captured the public imagination. Think about what a feat it was. Yet there was no spirit, no sense of awe about invading our symbol of madness, mystery, gestation, and recurrence.
