As with many houses here, nothing is visible from the street except
high stone walls and the large wooden entrance doors. Upon stepping into the courtyard one is instantly dazzled. Within these confines are further fabulous courtyards, follies, gardens full of climbing
roses, cascading bougainvillea, purple-flowering jacarandas, multiple terraces and loggias. Surrounding the pool, which can be heated, are two gardens, a terrace and a loggia with dining and seating
areas and a fireplace. Pretty curved stone staircases that flank a
deep Jacuzzi lead down to the lowest level. Here one finds another
charming folly, a terrace with a dining table and chairs and a large
lawn with a serpentine bench at one end.
