The entrance is bandbox neat, with a walkway of palest pink tile made of coquilla stone and sea glass from Bizazza. The front door and stripes of a window awning are bright turquoise, and a round porthole window greets the visitor. Plantings are fresh and spiky. The turquoise accents set the scene for what is to come, inside. The living room is long and narrow, with a surprising ceiling, vaulted and beamed, which lends this rather small room grace and importance. The rug, which covers almost the entire floor space, has a loose, serpentine pattern of oversized, stylized flowering vines in pale pink, off-white and turquoise against a rich chocolate brown ground. Arrowood, who designed the rug, relates that it ���spearheaded the entire design and color scheme for the room.��� And indeed, faint pink and vivid turquoise abound. Here is where the humor comes in. The rug has a slight ���seventies look of swirling but toned down psychedelia to it. Arrowood has created an interesting eclectic scenario of good ���seventies furniture with older antiques that might have come from an English country house or cottage.
