performance balanced very well with the Pope���s own
quartet. Canon Frendo���s direction was seamless, affording
Maestro Palombella���s direction of the combined groups a
musical moment to remember. The famous director was
clearly moved by the
experience, the result
so fine.
As of yet, I have not
attended the Malta
Pantomime
season,
which takes place at
the end of each year
for
several
weeks.
Substantially influenced
by the English, who
ruled Malta for over 150
years, these musical
events are attended by
thousands, employing
scores of theatrical
mavens in preparation,
production and acting.
One imagines that few
countries in the world
have music played and participated in, directly, by a
larger proportion than in Malta. There is joy in music,
there is joy in Malta. H
