Currently under construction, although controversial in some quarters, it speaks to Malta���s wealth of both domestic and international design expertise and interest. Malta is the Mediterranean���s small island nation nucleus, a perfect market center. It is a stable place to enjoy both the Mediterranean lifestyle and close ties to Northern Europe, in particular, to Great Britain. It is a democracy with a strong rule of civil law. The Mediterranean, which surrounds it, is a glorious basin of countries, cultures and civilizations, those of North Africa undergoing a difficult period.
